Altenberger, Eleanore #3 (25 Dec. 1896 - 7 May 1950)

Miss Eleanore Altenberger, a native of Colby, died at a Sheboygan, Wisconsin hospital Sunday morning at 5:30 A.M. at the age of 54 years, diabetes being the cause of her death. The body was brought to Colby and remained in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home until Wednesday morning when funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Rev. N. B. Beschta officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were I. M. Firnstahl, Frank Will, J. L. Steinwand, Frank Meyer, John Marx and Harold Kasper.

Miss Altenberger was born in the town of Colby and graduated from the Colby High School and Stevens Point Teachers College. After she received her education, she worked in Stevens Point until 10 years ago when she moved to Sheboygan where she was employed.

Surviving are four sisters - Mrs. Frances Pauschek of Luxemburg, Miss Pauline Altenberger of Sheboygan and Mrs. Edgar Laux and Mrs. Martha Rahn of Colby, Wis.
