Obit: Voge, Augusta (30 Sept. 1862 - 14 June 1950)

Mrs. Augusta Voge died Wednesday, June 14, at 10:45 P.M. at her home in the town of Hull, Wisconsin, old age complications being the cause of her departure. Funeral services were held at Zion’s Lutheran church Sunday afternoon, Rev. O. Hoffmann officiating, and internment was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Delos Kobs, a grandson, sang two hymns, "Asleep in Jesus, Blessed Sleep" and "Be Still, My Soul." Grand sons, Vincent Frane, Edwin Marks, Herman Blasel, Donald Voge, Robert Voge, Robert Wibben and Edward Voge, Jr., were pall bearers. Flowers were in charge of grand daughters - Mrs. Vincent Frane of Owen, Mrs. Edwin Marks of Chippewa Falls, Mrs. Herman Blasel of Medford, Mrs. Walter Rosselet of Milwaukee, Mrs. Lawrence Halfen of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Robert Wibben of Colby, Mrs. Edwin Voge, Jr. of Withee and Mrs. Harvey Ramm of Medford.

Mrs. Voge, the former Augusta Schultz, was born on Sept. 30th, 1862, in Germany, thus reaching the age of 87 years, eight months and 14 days. She came to this country with her parents when a child. She was married to Edward H. Voge in Lomira, Dodge county, Nov. 27th, 1888. She and her husband came to Colby in 1899 and settled on a farm one mile north of here.

Surviving are five children, Mrs. Fred Marks of Chippewa Falls, Adolph Voge of Abbotsford, Miss Olga Voge, Mrs. F. J. Kobs and Reinhold Voge of Colby, two sisters, Mrs. Gust Franz and Mrs. Mary Beawer, of Colby and one brother, William Schultz of Colby, Wis. Also 10 grand children and 19 great grand children. Her husband and a grand daughter preceded her in death.

She was a kind and loving mother and neighbor and a faithful member of Zion’s Lutheran church.

Out of town people here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Marks and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Marks and sons, Wayne and Eldred, of Chippewa Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Voge and son, Donald, of Abbotsford, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Blasel and family of Medford, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Voge, Jr., of Withee, Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Frane of Owen, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Miller of Butternut, Mrs. A. Ewert and daughter, Mrs. Habeck, of Stratford, William Ewert of Marshfield, and Mrs. Laurence Halfen and sons, Larry, Norman and Terry of Fond du Lac.
