Tessmer, August (27 Apr. 1888 - 5 Dec. 1950)

Funeral services of August Tessmer, a native of Colby, Wisconsin, who died at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital Tuesday, Dec. 5, were held at the Methodist church at Spencer Friday afternoon, Rev. Robert Trobaugh officiating, and internment was made in the West Spencer cemetery.

Mr. Tessmer was born April 27, 1888, in Colby, and attended school here. For 33 years, he was baggage transfer man at the Spencer Soo Line depot. He married Dora Ebbs April 6, 1910, in Spencer.

Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Priddy of Stamford, Conn., and Mrs. Sylvia Nielsen of Spencer, a brother, William Tessmer of Colby; two sisters, Mrs. John Wolf of Colby and Mrs. Ed Smith of Marshfield. There are five grand children.
