Weix, Mary Ann L. (Marriage - 2 June 1951)

Mary Ann L. Weix, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin A. Weix of Colby and LaVern E. Weis, son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Weis of Spencer, were united in marriage at a nuptial mass on Saturday, June 2, at 8:00 o’clock A.M. in St. Mary’s Catholic church, Rev. N. B. Beschta officiating. The couple was attended by the bride’s twin sister, Mrs. Norbert Dittner, as matron of honor, and the groom was attended by Norbert Dittner as best man.

The bride was attired in a white slipper satin gown with net yoke, long sleeves tapering to points over the wrists, long train and beaded headdress with finger-tip veil. Her bouquet consisted of roses and carnations. Her attendant wore an aqua gown, colonial style, and her bouquet consisted of pink roses and white carnations. Both the mother of the bride and mother of the groom had corsages of red roses and white carnations.

A wedding reception was given at the home of the bride which was decorated with blue and white streamers.

After a wedding trip to Milwaukee, Chicago, Oregon, Edgar, Spencer, Marshfield and Unity, the couple will be at home on a farm near Spencer where the groom is employed. The bride had been employed in the office of St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, the past year.
