Frankfort, Wis. - Oct. 11, 1906

Bills are out announcing a vaudeville show and dance, to be given in Koch’s Hall, Friday night, Oct. 19th, by the Tanners.

Joe Schmirler thrashed eighty-six farmers this fall - or their grain. He had other jobs, but was forced to close the season last Friday in order to attend to his home work.

Frank Wirkus and Joe Sellung returned recently from the Dakota harvest fields. They also visited at Dana, Canada, but didn’t like the country, although they said the land is good and big crops are raised there.

Mrs. Joe Schmirler received a dispatch from Briarton, Shawano county, Saturday, announcing the death of George Wagester, her brother. She left for that place to attend the funeral. She will remain about two weeks in that section of the state with relatives and old friends. Her son Joe accompanied her and after the funeral transacted business at Kewaskum and Manitowoc.

While Albert Zink and little ten year old son were driving to the cheese factory, one morning last week, the horse became frightened and ran away, throwing the occupants out. Albert had his back hurt and will be confined to the house a week or two, the boy received an ugly cut on the head. The horse brought up in a barb wire fence *** Note: The remainder of this article was missing.
