Schmidt, Minnie D. (15 SEP 1876 - 22 OCT 1965)

Minnie D. Schmidt, 89, passed away at her home in the city (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.), on Friday, Oct. 22nd, 1965.

Mrs. Schmidt was born Sept. 15, 1876 at Hollandtown, Wis. On Nov. 22, 1898, at Hollandtown, she was married to John A. Schmidt, and following their marriage they moved to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) where they were engaged in farming until May of 1944, when she moved to the city of Thorp.

Funeral services were held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church on Monday, Oct. 25th. Rev. Francis Brockman officiated at the ten a.m. service and burial was in St. Bernard's Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Anton Beller, Jay Alger, Herbert Hermsen, Pat Soderberg, John Maier, Sr., and Gilbert Voelker.

She is survived by two sons, William of Medical Lake, Wash., and Frank J., Thorp; three daughters, Sophie, Carrie, (Evelyn) Mrs. Victor Grajkowski, all of Thorp, 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Norbert. Fletcher, Green Bay; Mrs. Henry Killian and Mrs. Leona Horn, Little Chute, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Maehn and Mr. and Mrs. Art Maehn, Stockbridge; Mrs. Francis Koller, Menasha; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Fruch, Fairchild, and Mrs. Mary Ohnemus, Greenwood; Mrs. Peter Brocktrup, Menasha, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Broeren, Neenah.
