Bieno, Alice (25 SEP 1943)

Miss Alice Bieno, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Bieno of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) and Joseph Nowak, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Nowak, Sr. of Chicago, exchanged marriage vows on Saturday, Sept. 25, 1943, in St. Helen’s Church in Chicago.

The bride, who was given away in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white satin and lace. She had on a fingertip veil and carried a spray of white roses and orchid.

She was attended by a cousin, Stephania Puvowar, as maid of honor, who wore a gown of rose taffeta. They all carried a spray of red roses.

The groom wore a tuxedo and a boutonniere of carnation. He was attended by Ben Brzezinski, as best man and Irvin Bieno, bride’s brother. They also wore tuxedos and a boutonniere of carnations.

The reception was held at 7:00 p.m. at Good Shepherds Hall, where a wedding supper and dance were provided.

The couple will reside in Chicago, where the groom is employed.
