Tennis, Janice Marie (Marriage - 26 July 1958)

Miss Janice Marie Tennis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Tennis, Unity, became the bride Saturday of Erland Allen Shelley, Riplinger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Shelley, Loyal. The Rev. Robert Langseth performed the 2:30 o’clock ceremony in Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity, Wisconnsin. Waveaglee Miller played the wedding march for the occasion.

As the bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Harry Mandel of Unity, she wore a two-piece blue chemise dress with white accessories. Her flowers were a corsage of pink roses and white carnations.

Maid of honor was Miss Billie Binning of Unity and Mrs. Joan Jost also of Unity, was bridesmaid. They wore chemise dresses in wine and tan colors and corsages of pink roses.

Carroll Shelley, Loyal, was best man and groomsmen was Delbert Weltzin.

A luncheon in the basement of Colby’s Tavern in Unity followed the ceremony.

Mr. and Mrs. Shelley are graduates of Colby High School and Mr. Shelley is a sewing machine salesman. After a honeymoon on Lake Nakomis, the couple will make their home in Unity.
