Erickson, Annette Lorraine (Marriage - 6 Sept. 1958)

The Rev. William Christian united Miss Annette Lorraine Erickson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Erick Erickson, Unity, and Allen Emery Schjoneman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Schjoneman, Colby, in marriage at the Zion Lutheran Church in Colby, Wisconsin Saturday afternoon at a 2:30 o’clock ceremony. Bouquets of red and white flowers decorated the church.

Mrs. Howard Rannow was the organist and sang "The Lord’s Prayer" and "Whither Thou Goest," and "A Wedding Prayer."

On the arm of her father, the bride entered the church wearing a floor-length gown of Chantilly lace and tulle with a Sabrina neckline. Her crown was made of pearls, and sequins with a finger-tip veil, and she carried a bouquet of red roses and feathered white carnations.

Sandra Erickson, Unity, was her sister’s maid of honor, and Janice Schjoneman, Colby and Bonnie Garbisch, Granton, acted as bridesmaids. They wore ballerina-length orchid gowns of nylon lace and net with Sabrina necklines. Their headpieces were made of net with face veiling, and they carried bouquets of yellow and white carnations.

Attending the groom were Clinton Schjoneman, Unity, as best man and Donald Rhodes and Virgil Christiansen, Marshfield, as groomsmen. Jerome Christiansen and Dennis Witte were ushers.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Colby City Hall, a supper at the parish hall and a dance at Unity Memorial Hall.

The bride and groom are both graduates of Colby High School. The groom is employed with Schjoneman Trucking Lines of Colby, and the bride is employed in the office of the Roddis Plywood Corp., Marshfield.

After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin and Michigan, the couple will make their home in Unity.
