Vaughan, Ralph (9 Feb. 1874 - 22 Mar. 1958)

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Swarthout Funeral Home for Ralph Vaughan, 84, who passed away at 3 a.m. Saturday at his home in Spencer.

The Rev. Roger Knutsen, pastor of the local Methodist Church, conducted the final rites and burial was made in the Town of Brighton cemetery at Unity.

Pallbearers were Robert Keyes, Ken Spurgeon, Herb Schwantes, Arnold Bruesewitz, Elroy Luepke, and Bert Baldwin.

Mr. Vaughan, a former rural mail carrier and farmer of Unity, had lived in Spencer the past ten years.

Mr. Vaughan was born February 9, 1874 in Sun Prairie. He married Margaret Darling at Unity June 28, 1905. For 17 years, beginning in 1912 they lived in Ocean Springs, Miss., where he worked as a contractor and builder. From the time they returned to this area they moved to Spencer, they farmed at Unity. He was a member of the Unity Methodist Church.

Besides his wife, he leaves one brother, George B. Vaughan of Canton, Ohio.

Three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
