Kilty, Darlene M. (Marriage - 13 June 1959)

At 10:30 A.M. Saturday, June 13 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby, Miss Darlene M. Kilty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Kilty, Unity, became the bride of James O. Andre, son of Mr. and Mrs. Werner G. Andre of Muskegon Heights, Michigan.

The Rev. James Stauber officiated at the ceremony.

The bride wore a white lace waltz-length gown with ruffle of net and lace forming her bouffant skirt. The lace bodice, topped by a lace jacket, featured a curving neckline and the whole gown was underscored with acetate taffeta. Her veil fell from a coronet of lace embroidered with pearls and sequins, and she carried a colonial bouquet of tinted blue carnations and white pompoms.

The bridal attendants were Mrs. Claire Obenhofer, Rib Lake, as matron of honor and Miss Sharon Kilty, Unity as bridesmaid. Claire Obenhofer, Rib Lake, was best man, with Werner G. Andre Jr., Muskegon Heights, Michigan as groomsmen.

The bridal aides wore empire styled gowns accented with wide blue cummerbunds. The dress of the bridesmaid was of nylon sheer over taffeta with scoop neckline and V back. The matron of honor’s dress was similarly styled of white lace over taffeta. They wore corsages of tinted blue carnations with white hats.

Following the reception a wedding shower and dance were held at the Unity Memorial Hall.

The couple will make their home in Marshfield following their wedding trip.
