Hardrath, Nona (Marriage - 8 Apr. 1961)

Miss Nona Hardrath, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hardrath, Spencer, became the bride of Ronald Schulz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schulz, route 1, Unity, during a 3 o’clock ceremony performed by the Rev. W. R. Krueger in Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer, Saturday, April 8.

John Krueger played the organ for the ceremony and Mrs. Gary Ewald sang "The 23rd Psalm" and "Jesus Lead Thou On." Snapdragons, carnations and narcissus adorned the church altar.

Wearing a white lace over satin wedding frock, street length, designed with lace, cummerbund and jacket, the bride carried a cascade bouquet of pink roses and white stephanotis entwined with ivy. She had a crown headpiece with shoulder length veil.

Preceding the bride into the church were her aides, Miss Fern Hardrath, Spencer, as maid of honor, and Miss Karen Hendrickson, Spencer, as bridesmaid. Miss Hardrath wore a lilac taffeta with lace overskirt and satin cummerbund and the bridesmaid was similarly attired in pink. Each carried a cascade bouquet of yellow roses and carnations tinted to match their dresses.

Orin Toltzman, Spencer, was best man, Arlyn Schwantes, Spencer, the groomsman; and Galen Hardrath and Wilmer Griepentrog, ushers.

The wedding reception and supper were held at the home of the bride’s parents.

The Schulzes, both of whom attended Spencer High School, will reside on route 1, Unity, where Mr. Schulz is a farmer.
