Johnson, Anna Katherine (1871 - 6 May 1959)

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Trinity Lutheran Church for Mrs. Anna Katherine Johnson, 87, who died at her home early Wednesday morning of age complications. The Rev. Robert Langseth will officiate and burial will be made in the church cemetery.

The body will repose at the Lulloff Funeral Home at Colby until noon Saturday, when it will be taken to the church.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Finland in 1871 and was married to John V. Johnson on March 18, 1896. They had lived in the village the past 23 years.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband; four sons, Emil, Salem, Edwin and Ewert; 25 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Two children, one brother and two sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church for Mrs. Anna Katherine Johnson, 87, who passed away at her home on May 6, 1959.

The Rev. Robert Langseth officiated and burial was made in the church cemetery.

The church choir sang during the service accompanied by Mrs. Merle Messer at the organ.

Pallbearers, all grandsons of the deceased were Duane Johnson, Melvin Hendrickson, Bob Johnson, Lyle Johnson, Alan Nelsen and Floyd Johnson.

Out of town people here for the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Wyman Miller, and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Binder, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Arndt and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Abbott, Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. Wayne Johnson, Junction City; Mr. and Mrs. Duane Johnson, Sparta; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Strigel, Jr., Auburndale; Mr. Ed Johnson, Northwood, Iowa; Mrs. Mary Berg, Oak Park, Ill.; and many friends from Ogema, Rhinelander, Loyal and Curtiss.
