Johnson, Elmer A. (1907 - 17 Aug. 1959)

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity, for Elmer A. Johnson, 51, who passed away August 17th at St. Mary’s Hospital, Duluth, Minn. of complications of diabetes.

The Rev. Robert Langseth officiated at final rites and burial was made in the Parish cemetery.

Trinity Lutheran choir sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Rock of Ages" accompanied by Mrs. Ansel Messer at the organ.

Pallbearers, cousins of the deceased, were Jack Anderson, Waupaca; Marvin Carlson, Marshfield; and Maurice Anderson, Elmer Helsten, Walter Anderson and Victor Anderson, all of Spencer.

Elmer is survived by one sister, Mrs. Henry (Edith) Hagen, Superior; and four brothers, Ed, Colby; and John, Adolph and Alfred, all of Unity.

Out of town relatives and friends who attended the funeral were Wm. Snell, Mr. and Mrs. H. Hagen and son, Thomas, and Betty Gamm, of Superior; Cleo Rae Johnston, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Olson Jr., Duluth, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Anderson and family, Waupaca; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Johnson, Baldwin, Wis.; Mrs. Hilda Toft, Rockford, Ill.; Mrs. Hulda Helsten, Rockford, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. William Flink, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Carlson, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Glendon Johnson and family, Athens; and many from Spencer and Colby and surrounding areas.
