Oelrich, Sophia (12 Nov. 1901 - 14 June 1957)

Spencer, Wis. - Mrs. William Oelrich, 55, Spencer, Wisconsin, died at 11:55 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, where she had been a patient since May 29. She had been in ill health for the past several years.

Services have been set tentatively for 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church here, with the Rev. Walter Krueger officiating. Internment is to be in the Spencer cemetery. The body is now lying in state here at Swarthout Funeral Home.

Mrs. Oelrich, the former Sophia Huber, was born in Spencer Nov. 12, 1901, and was a lifetime resident of the community. Her marriage took place here Nov. 17, 1920.

Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Dale (Dorothy) Vanderhoof and Mrs. Kenneth (Delores) Wilson, both of Spencer; five grandchildren; and eight brothers and sisters, Mrs. Orville Taylor, Dorchester, and Mrs. Martin Hoops, Mrs. Ray Matter, Mrs. Rudolph Schweke, Edward, Charles, Arthur and Theodore, all of Spencer.

Sophia Oelrich is buried in the West Spencer Cemetery, Sherman Township, Clark County, Wisconsin.
