(South Worden Correspondent)

Mr. Lawrence hence, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil hence of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Miss Evelyn Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Miller of Stanley, were united in marriage in a single ring ceremony performed by Father A.M. Muckerheide at St. Bernard’s Church at Thorp on Wednesday morning, Oct. 18th, 1944, at 8:30 o’clock.

The couple was attended by Ervin Klick as best man and Eileen Henke, who was attired in a dress of blue frosted organdie and carried a bouquet of talisman roses and yellow chrysanthemums. She wore a gold locket, a gift of the bride.

The bride was dressed in a gown of white satin with long pointed sleeves and sweetheart neckline. She wore a fingertip veil with beaded crown and gold locket, a gift of the groom. Her bouquet was of Briarcliff roses and white baby chrysanthemums with baby chrysanthemums cascading down the streamers.

The bride’s mother was attired in a flowered silk dress of navy blue and the groom’s mother wore a checked sharkskin of black and white. Both wore corsages of roses and chrysanthemums.

A wedding dinner was held at the home of the bride’s parents, attended by immediate relatives. Shower and wedding dance was held at the American Legion Hall in Thorp in the evening.

Out of town guests at the wedding were Mrs. Arnt Ricksford and daughters of Chippewa Falls, Pearl Miller of Dixon, Ill., and Fern Miller of Chicago, Ill.
