Rossman, William (25 JUN 1867 - 14 DEC 1944)

William Rossman, 77, passed away early Thursday morning, Dec. 14, 1944 at his home northwest of Stanley. The immediate cause of death was a heart attack.

He was born June 25, 1867 at New Holstein, Wis., the son of Fred and Christine Wiehler Rossman.

Her was united in marriage to Miss Mercy Hagen in Sept. 1902, at Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.)

They became the parents of 6 children, all of whom, with his wife, survive. They are Leonard of Cornell, Lawrence of Gilman, Helen, Mrs. John Green of Spooner, Irene, Mrs. Jack Erickson of Eau Claire, and John at home. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. George Bushman of Gilman, Mrs. Abe Verdahl of South Dakota, Mrs. Erve Black of Seattle, Wash., and two brothers, John of Polley and Henry of Thorp.

Funeral services were held at the Stanley Funeral Home, Saturday, Dec. 23, at 2:00, Rev. J.N. Midtlien officiating. Interment was made in Oakland Cemetery.
