Langreck, Troy G. #2 (31 JAN 1988 - 18 APR 2008)

Troy G. Langreck, 20, Eau Claire, formerly of Greenwood, died early Friday morning, April 18, 2008, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Eau Claire. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Greenwood. The Rev. Terri Bloomberg officiated. Burial was in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery next to his grandparents. Pallbearers were Kade Hinker, Derek Scheuerman, Roger Lindner, Tyler Lindner, Scott Herrick and Wayne Krause.

Troy Gregory Langreck was born on Jan. 31, 1988, in Marshfield, to Gregory and Cathy (nee Ludwig) Langreck. He grew up and was educated in Greenwood, graduating from Greenwood High School in 2006. During his high school years he worked for Grassland Dairy. Following his graduation, Troy attended Chippewa Valley Technical College and received his Auto Mechanic degree in 2007. He was currently pursuing a Collision Repair degree also at CVTC. He resided in Eau Claire and was currently employed as an auto mechanic at Eau Claire Ford. He had a great love for hunting and fishing. He was a people person who could often be found singing karaoke and dancing with his friends. He enjoyed baseball and football in high school and softball during the summers. He was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Greenwood, and Whitetails Unlimited.

He will be sadly missed by his parents, Greg (fiancé Denise Voss) Langreck, Greenwood; Cathy (friend Rod Kowalczyk) Langreck, Greenwood; his brother, Adam Langreck, Greenwood; his maternal grandmother, Jean Ludwig, Volin, S.D.; 17 aunts and uncles, 33 cousins, eight second cousins and many good friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Merle Ludwig, in 2007; his paternal grandparents, Ferdinand and Cecelia Langreck, in 1994; two uncles, Sam Lindner and Donald Langreck; and two first cousins, Ralph Lindner and Robert Trunkel.

Cuddie Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
