Rose Lueth

Rose Ann Lueth, 95, formerly of Curtiss, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at the Colonial Center, Colby, where she had resided since Oct. 18, 2001.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2008, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Dorchester, Wis. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery in the town of Mayville, Clark County.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.

Rose Ann Lueth was born Jan. 23, 1913, in the little town of Phillips to Peter and Rosie (Yahoda) Kristek. She was married to Fielder Lueth on June 25, 1929, in Phillips. They moved to Curtiss where they farmed from March 1930 until March 29, 1971. They retired from farming and sold the farm to their son Albert but continued to reside in Curtiss. Fielder preceded her in death Feb. 26, 1991.

Rose is survived by her children, Albert Lueth of Dorchester, Virgil (Beverly) Lueth of Spring Valley, Arnold (Lynn) Lueth of Sparta, Deanna (Michael) Famming of Woodruff, and Rosella (Gene) Jensen of Neillsville; 22 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; and one brother Edward (Bernice) Kristek of Eagle River.
