Herman, Eugene L. (28 MAY 1925 - 12 MAY 1945)

Pvt. Eugene L. Herman of the U.S. Marines died on Okinawa Island on May 12, 1945.

Pvt. Herman, who would have been 20 years of age on May 28, 1945, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Herman of Chicago, and former Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) residents. He entered the service of his country on Feb. 5, 1944 and was home on furlough in June 1944. He was sent overseas in July.

Besides his parents he is survived by one sister, Florence, of Chicago.
