Thorp, Wis. Sept. 21, 1903

 

The village board of Thorp met at the call of the president in special session on above date in village hall.

 

President Geo. Zillman in the Chair.

 

After call to order, the roll was called and the following members were found present: Herman Banderob, Geo. Burke, S. Gorman, W. S. Parks, R. H. Tolford.  Absent--Mat Gersich.

 

On motion it was ordered that Thos. Dygart be employed as assistant to Herman Stracker at the electric light plant as a salary of one dollar per day.

 

The resignation of Peter Schroeder as marshal, street commissioner, commissioner of noxious weeds and warden, janitor of village hall, and quarantine officer, was presented, and on motion was accepted and the place declared vacant.

 

On motion the president was requested to appoint a committee of three, including himself to hire a marshal at a price not exceeding forty dollars per month.

 

The president appointed the following as such committee: George Zillman, R. H. Tolford, W. S. Parks.

 

On motion the Board adjourned.
