Lockbaum, Jacob (19 JUL 1860 - 11 SEP 1945)

Jacob Lockbaum, 85, Town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.) farmer for many years, passed away on Tuesday afternoon at 2:10 o’clock. Funeral services will be held at St. Bernard’s Church in the village at 9:30 o’clock Friday morning, with interment to follow in the parish cemetery.

Jacob Lockbaum passed away at his home in the town of Reseburg, Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 11, 1945, having reached the age of eighty-five years.

The deceased was born in Milwaukee, Wis., on July 19, 1860. At the age of twelve years he moved with his parents to Menasha.

He was married to Louise Missenske in 1895. To this union nine children were born. They came to Thorp on Jan. 19, 1908 and have resided on a farm in the Town of Reseburg since that time.

Mr. Lockbaum leaves to mourn his death, his widow and nine children.

Funeral services were held at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church on Friday morning, Rev. A.M. Muckerheide officiating and interment following in the parish cemetery.

Out of town relatives and friends who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. George Lockbaum and family, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Christiansen, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Brick, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Launers, Mrs. Roman Launers, Anton Kraysky, Mr. and Mrs. Morris LeMay, Mrs. Arthur Roen and daughter Bonnie, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Barquist, of Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cribley, Mobridge, S.D.; Miss Barbara Lockbaum, Miss Betty Turenne of Chicago; Mrs. Carrie Stordeur and son Melvin, Chas. Sorenson and daughter, Mrs. Marvin Johnson of Green Bay.
