Stroinski, Anton & Stella (60th - 14 SEP 1945)

Sept. 16th, 1945 a family reunion was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Stroinski, the occasion being their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Stroinski, 60th wedding anniversary.

Mr. and Mrs. Anton Stroinski are pioneers. They settled in this locality in the year 1893. They cleared a farm on which they lived and raised most of their family of nine children, until 1936, at which time they bought a home in this village, where they have since resided. This farm they sold to their youngest son John. The reunion was of two-fold interest to the family, the long life and good health of their parents and the gathering being at the old homestead.

Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Wechlacz and family, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Teclaw and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Stroinski and family, Jr. John Roytek, all of Thorp.

Those from out of town were: Mrs. John Strzelecki, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stroinski, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Wechlacz, Misses Regina and Clara Wechlacz and Angeline Teclaw, all of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Nick Winiecki, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Winiecki, Mr. and Mrs. M. Martin, all of St. Paul, Minn. Their seven grandsons are in service and they also have six great grandchildren.
