Saxe, Minnie (1 JUN 1881 - 17 SEP 1945)

Miss Minnie Saxe, 64, passed away at the Victory Hospital at Stanley, Sept. 17, 1945, after a short illness.

Miss Saxe was born on June 1, 1881 at Baraboo, Wis. She came to this community (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.) in 1906 with her parents and resided near Stanley and Thorp since that time.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Nancy A. Mitchelen, Friday at two p.m. at the Thorp Funeral Home and she was laid to rest at the Fairfield Cemetery at Baraboo, Saturday, Sept. 22, at one p.m.

She is survived by two sisters, (Alice) Mrs. Barney Page of Thorp, and (Annie) Mrs. Louis Hinchcliff of Burney, Calif., two nieces, Mrs. Daisy Hinchcliff Meyers and Mrs. Mae Hinchcliff Holmquist of Burney, Calif.; also two nephews serving in the U.S. Army, A.S. Andrew Page and Sgt. Clifford Hinchcliff.

Those from away, here to attend the funeral services were A.S. Andrew Page and family; Mrs. B.R. Dugdale, of Madison; Mrs. Adolph Von Haden of Augusta; Mr. and Mrs. France of Stanley, and Mrs. Mary Wagner, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Wagner, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Foster, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wagner and Mrs. Helma Larson, all of Eau Claire.
