On Saturday, June 1st, 1946 at nine o’clock in the morning at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church at Thorp. Miss Jean Jaskot, daughter of Mrs. Mary Jaskot of the Town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.) became the bride of Joseph Lobacz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Lobacz of Greenwood (Clark Co.). The ceremony took place before an altar decorated with mixed flowers and was performed by Rev. F. Piekarski.

The bride entered the church on the arm of her uncle wearing a gown of white silk marquisette over ninon satin. Her long veil was held in place by a pearl beaded crown. She carried a bouquet of Easter lilies.

Miss Ethel Posda was maid of honor and wore a blue marquisette gown and blusher to match, and carried pink roses and white carnations. The bridesmaids were Miss Helen Lobacz and Regina Lobacz, sisters of the groom, and Miss Adeline Jaskot, cousin of the bride. Their gowns were of pink marquisette over ninon satin and blushers to match. They carried bouquets of pink roses and white carnations and each wore a heart and cross necklace, gifts of the bride. The flower girl, Miss Irene Jaskot, sister of the bride, wore a gown of yellow chiffon and carried a bouquet of flowers of yellow roses and orchid larkspurs and wore a cross, the gift of the bride.

John Jaskot, brother of the bride, acted as best man. The other ushers were Leon Jaskot, brother of the bride and George Lobacz, brother of the groom. The groom and his attendants wore tuxedos, the groom wore a gardenia and the ushers wore a gardenia and the ushers wore white carnations as boutonnieres.

The bride’s mother wore a green flowered dress and the groom’s mother wore blue. Both wore corsages of pink and white roses.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the P.N.A. Hall. Music was furnished throughout the afternoon and evening by Markowski Orchestra.

The bride and groom will reside in Chicago, where they are employed.

Jaskot, Allentown, Pa.; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Jaskot and family, Eleanore Jaskot, Martha Jaskot, Helen Jaskot, Gene Prorok, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Nowak and family, Helen Lobacz, Ethel Posda, John Jaskot, Leon Jaskot and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jaskot Jr., and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Peliwo, of Chicago.
