Dylan James DeCaire

DORCHESTER -- Dylan James DeCaire, 17, of Dorchester, entered eternal life after April 6, 2008, doing what he loved to do.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colby, Wis. The Rev. John Gualbert will officiate. Kathleen Slipek will be the organist for services.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church in Colby and from 10 a.m. until service time Friday, both at the church in Colby, Wis.

Private burial services will take place at a later time.

Dylan was born Jan. 24, 1991, in Medford to Robert Jr. and Lisa (Bergerson) DeCaire. He attended grade school in Dorchester then later at Colby Middle School. Dylan was currently a junior at Colby High School. He was employed parttime at Kramer's County Market as a cashier. When Dylan was not at school or working, he loved his football and basketball almost as much as he loved his hunting and fishing. Nothing was more important than spending time with his family and his friends.

Dylan is survived by his mother, Lisa of Dorchester and father, Robert Jr. of Owen; a sister, Karisa of Dorchester; and two brothers, Joel of Dorchester and Brandon of Wind Lake.

He is further survived by his maternal grandparents, Bonnie (Ray) Hill and James (Carol) Bergerson, all of L'Anse, Mich.; and his paternal grandparents, Robert Sr. (Carol) DeCaire, of Owen; and his great-grandparents Matt (Rose) Toyras of L'Anse, Mich. Dylan is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home of Abbotsford is assisting the family with arrangements.
