Kalitzky, Steffan (18 Apr. 1862 - 20 June 1945)

Funeral services for Steffan Kalitzky of Tioga were held Saturday afternoon, June 23, at the Schiller-Terhune funeral home, the Rev. G. W. Longenecker, pastor of the Congregational church officiating. Burial took place in the Neillsville cemetery.

Mr. Kalitzky, who was 83 years of age, died Wednesday morning, June 20, at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ignace Szolgar, who reside near Tioga. Death was attributed to old age complications.

Mr. Kalitzky was the son of Steffan and Annie Kalitzky, and was born April 18, 1862, in Hungary. The first 42 years of his life were spent in the land of his birth. He came to America in 1904; lived in Illinois; returned to Hungary. After 14 years there, he again came to the new world, and spent two years in South America. In 1926 he came to the U.S., and had made his home here with his daughter the past 19 years.

His wife and parents are deceased. A son resides in South America; two daughters are in Europe, and one daughter, Mrs. Szolgar, resides here. Four children preceded him in death.
