During last November’s session of the Clark County Board of Supervisors the Committee on Public Property was given authority to dispose of the old County Farm.

This farm, one of the finest 60-acre tracts in the Town of York, or for that matter, in the entire county, has modern and up-to-date buildings. It has two very fine tile silos of recent construction, and a bar, built in 1930, costing many thousands of dollars to build.

The decision to sell this property was made because its use as a home for the aged had been discontinued some time ago, and because it is a very considerable distance from the Clark County Asylum at Owen, in connection with which it was being operated. Both the trustees and the Board felt that it was unwise to operate both places.

Sealed bids for the farm will be received up to and including Thursday, Feb. 8. The bids will be opened in the office of Clark County Clerk Calvin Mills at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 9.

Mr. Mills advises that the property can be inspected at any time, as there is a caretaker on the premises.
