Klimke, Winifred Mae (Dawson) (January 10, 1925 - May 6, 2008)

Winifred Klimpke, 83, died Tuesday May 6, 2008 at the Clark County Health Care Center Owen.

Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at the Maurina - Schilling Funeral Home Dorchester, Wis.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10, at Maurina - Schilling Funeral Home Dorchester, Wis. Rev. Mark Neumann will preside. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery Curtiss. Pallbearers will be Kenneth, Todd and Chris Klimpke, Shawn Podevels, Andy Johnston and Travis Zvolena.

Winifred was born January 10, 1925,in Cherokee, Marathon County, to Sydney and Flora (Coon) Dawson.

She married Clarence Klimpke, Sr. on September 21, 1940. Winifred enjoyed woodworking, gardening and sewing - quilting.

Winifred is survived by her children, Clarence (Mary) Klimpke, Jr., Dorchester, Connie (Dean) Smith, Spencer, Donna (Rick) Podevels, Colby, Nancy Johnston, Loyal, Kevin Klimpke, Loyal, and Lori (Roger) Zvolena, Spencer; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sisters Arlene Stahnke, Goodrich, Darlene Abbeglen, Fall River and Shirley Rose, Unity; and brothers, Bill Dawson, Milwaukee and Elmer Dawson, Rib Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Clarence Klimpke Sr., on November 13, 1997; sons Ronald, Harold and Dennis Klimpke; three infants; one granddaughter; sisters Marcella Bunkelmann and Susie Frahm; and brothers Tom, Martin and Raymond Dawson.

Maurina - Schilling Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
