Klimpke, Winifred M. #2 (10 JAN 1925 - 6 MAY 2008)

Winifred Mae "Winnie" Klimpke, 83, Owen, died on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at Clark County Health Care Center, Owen. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, May 1o, at Maurina/Schilling Funeral Home, Dorchester, Wis. The Rev. Mark Neumann officiated. Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery, Curtiss. Pallbearers were Kenneth Klimpke, Shawn Podevels, Andy Johnson, Travis Zvolena, Todd Klimpke, and Chris Klimpke.

Winifred Mae Dawson was born on Jan. 10, 1925, in Cherokee, Marathon County, to Sydney and Flora (nee Coon) Dawson. She married Clarence Klimpke Sr. on Sept. 21, 1940. He died on Nov. 13, 1997. She enjoyed woodworking, gardening, sewing, quilting and spending time with family.

Survivors include her children, Clarence (Mary) Klimpke Jr., Dorchester, Roger Klimpke, Abbotsford, Connie (Dean) Smith, Spencer, Donna (Rick) Podevels, Colby, Nancy Johnston, Loyal, Kevin Klimpke, Loyal, and Lori (Roger) Zvolena, Spencer; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sisters Marion Hoffman, Athens, Arlene Stahnke, Goodrich, Darlene Abbeglen, Fail River, and Shirley Rose, Unity; and brothers, Bill Dawson, Milwaukee, and Elmer Dawson, Rib Falls.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Clarence Klimpke Sr.; sons, Ronald Klimpke, Harold Klimpke, and Dennis Klimpke; three infants; one granddaughter; sisters Marcella Bunklemann, and Susie Frahm; and brothers, Tom Dawson, Martin Dawson, and Raymond Dawson.
