Mutka, Matti (20 MAY 1886 - 13 JUL 1945)

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon for Matti Mutka from the Finnish Lutheran Church, the Rev. Autio officiating. The burial took place in Riverside Cemetery.

Matti Mutka passed away at his home Friday, July 13, 1945 from a heart ailment. He was born May 20, 1886 in Finland. After he came to this country in 1909 he lived in Ironwood, Mich. Where he was married to Miss Olga Maria Harju-Matila on Sept. 30, 1910. to this union were born 7 children, one daughter died in infancy. He brought his family to a farm near Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1918 where he lived until his death.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Veena, Tyyne, Wilma (Mrs. Dan Anderson) and three sons, Voitta, Walter and Vilha, and one son-in-law and three grandchildren.

The pallbearers were Solomon Loaksa, John Rauka Sr., Hjalmar Heikkinen, Henry Puro, Oscar Makkonen, and Andrew Kallio.
