Vesokie, Hazel (20 DEC 1945)

Mrs. Hazel Vesokie, daughter of Mrs. Helga Knight, and Warren L. Pettis, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Pettis of Deerfield, Ill., were united in marriage at Deerfield, Ill., at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Johnson, sister of the groom, on Thursday, Dec. 20, 1945, with the Rev. Bernard E. Vanderbeek officiating. Donald Lee, son of the bride, gave his mother away.

The bride chose for her wedding a royal blue dress, pink flowered hat and black accessories, and a corsage of gardenias.

Her matron of honor was Mrs. Edwin Johnson, a sister of the groom, 859 Todd Court, Deerfield, Ill., who wore a tan ensemble with brown accessories and a corsage of red roses.

The groom was attended by his brother-in-law, Edwin Johnson, Deerfield, Ill.

The Johnson home was beautifully decorated with bouquets of white and yellow chrysanthemums.

Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served to the members of the wedding party at the Moraine Hotel of Highland Park, Ill.

Mr. and Mrs. Pettis spent a week in Wisconsin visiting relatives.

On Sunday, Dec. 23, a wedding dinner was given for the newlyweds at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Lokken of Curtiss. Dinner was served to twenty-five guests.

Mr. and Mrs. Pettis will make their home in Highland Park, Ill.
