Hake, Janet Santa Mary (Marriage - 8 Sept. 1945)

Janet Santa Mary Hake, daughter of Mrs. Augusta Hake, Neillsville, became the bride of Augustine Rosenbaum, Neillsville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Rosenbaum, Prairie du Chien, Wis., on Saturday, September 8, at 9 a.m. The ceremony was performed at St. Mary’s Catholic church. The Rev. Fr. J. A. Biegler presided at the double ring ceremony.

The bride wore a white mousseline de soie gown trimmed with point de alencon lace. She wore a finger tip veil trimmed with lace matching that of the dress. She carried a colonial arm bouquet.

The bride’s only attendant, Mrs. LaVerne Gaier, wore a yellow net formal. The best man was Lt. LaVerne Gaier.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s mother after the wedding. The home was decorated with pink and white gladioli.

After the reception the couple left on a wedding trip to Madison and Chicago. They will be at home on the farm of the bride’s mother after September 17.

Mrs. Rosenbaum is a graduate of the Neillsville high school with the class of 1942 and has since been employed at home.

Mr. Rosenbaum completed an agriculture course at the University of Wisconsin and has been employed as an assistant in the county agent’s office. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Guests from out of town who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Rosenbaum, Prairie du Chien, parents of the groom; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Rosenbaum, Black River Falls; Cpl. Harold Cramer, Camp McCoy; Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Thiel, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Rosenbaum and children, Lynxville, Wis.; Mrs. Alma Smith, Seneca, Wis.
