Vanderhoof, Lenore A. (10 Apr. 1916 - 10 June 2008)

Spencer, Wis. -- Lenore A. Vanderhoof, 92, of Marshfield, formerly of Spencer, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, under the care of Saint Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Marshfield.

Funeral services are pending.

The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home of Spencer is assisting the family with arrangements.

Spencer, Wis. -- Lenore Marie Vanderhoof, 92, of Marshfield, formerly of Spencer, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008, under the tender and loving care of the staff at Saint Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Marshfield.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2008, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Spencer. Burial will follow in Loyal City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home in Spencer.

Lenore was born April 10, 1916, to Walter and Esther (Wittlinger) Ayer in the town of Beaver in Clark County. She attended rural grade school then later Loyal High School. Following high school, Lenore worked as a domestic in the local area. She later married David Vanderhoof in Marshfield on July 26, 1933. Lenore and David resided on David's family farm in the town of Sherman in Clark County, where they farmed and raised their two daughters. Lenore's husband, David, passed away July 20, 1998.

In her spare time, Lenore enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers, and she loved doing anything outdoors.

Lenore is survived by her two daughters, Lois Schier of Harshaw, and Gloria Dahl of Siren; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Elaine (Owen) Hanson of Apache Junction, Ariz. Lenore is further survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers and one sister.
