Anderegg, Marvin Edwin (4 May 1928 - 12 June 2008)

Marvin Edwin Anderegg, 80, of Loyal died Thursday, June 12, 2008, in New London.

Marvin was born May 4, 1928, in the Town of York to Edwin and Susie (Krasselt) Anderegg. He attended Pleasant View country school and then farmed with his family in the Town of York. Marvin worked at Marshfield Homes and the Chevy plant in Janesville from 1958 to 1960. On August 6, 1960, Marvin and Dorothy Ackerman were united in marriage, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Neillsville. They farmed and raised their family in the Town of York, retiring in 1998. Marvin greatly enjoyed playing cards in Loyal, Granton and Neillsville. He loved the Wheel of Fortune, dairy breakfasts, traveling, time with his family and a good cigar. Marvin was a member and had served on the council of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Christie and was a long-time member of the National Farmers Organization in Clark County.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Dorothy of Loyal; his son, Clay Anderegg, of Loyal; his daughters, Fay Newton of West Palm Beach, FL, Carol (Dale) Strigel of North Palm Beach, FL, Cheryl Anderegg of Loyal, and Lois (Gerard) McCann of West Palm Beach, FL; one grandson, Adam Newton of West Palm Beach, FL; and his sister, Marlene (Gary) Kuechenmeister of Neillsville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Christie with Reverend Daniel Cole officiating. Burial was in the Loyal Lutheran Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Kurt Bauer, Bob and Jack Anderegg, Lee and Monte Kuechenmeister and Frank Pries.

The Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, assisted the family with arrangements.
