Vincent, Linda (23 APR 1942)

Miss Linda Vincent, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Percy Vincent, and Charles Cook, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Cook, both of the town of Beaver, were united in marriage at the Methodist parsonage Thursday, Apr. 23, at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. O. A. Jewell performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride was attired in white ninon, with lace trim. Her finger-tip veil was trimmed with lace and was held by a coronet of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of white carnations, with streamers of white satin ribbons tied with fern.

Miss Lois Ziebell, as maid of honor, wore a sheer chiffon aqua blue dress, with white brocaded flowers, and matching veil and wreath. Her corsage was of peach gladioli. Miss Janice Cook, the bridesmaid, who is an only sister of the groom, was attired in a pink sheer dress. Her corsage was of pink gladioli. Both wore gold heart shaped lockets, gifts from the bride.

The groom was attended by his brother, Emery Cook, and Muriel Vincent. The young men were dressed in dark suits and wore boutonnieres of white carnations.

The bride was graduated from the Loyal high school with the class of 1940. For the past year she has been employed in Marshfield.

The groom is employed on his father’s farm.

Following the ceremony, a 7 o’clock dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents. Covers were laid for about 25.

The newlyweds will make their home on the farm with the groom’s parents.

April 23 also marks the birthdays of both the bride’s father and the groom’s father.

The Tribune joins the host of friends of Mr. and Mrs. Cook in extending all good wishes for a long and happy married life.
