Pavlic, Theresa (15 October 1891 - 17 October 1946)

Death came suddenly last week to Mrs. Theresa Pavlic, aged 55 years, a resident of the Town of Pine Valley. She went about her work as usual on Tuesday and cooked for the carpenters who were finishing a new barn on the farm. Early Wednesday morning she suffered a heart attack and was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where she died at 8 a.m. Thursday.

Funeral arrangements here were in charge of the Georgas Funeral Home, and services were held in Chicago October 19, (1946). Burial was made there.

Theresa Bucek was born October 15, 1891, in Czechoslovakia, and came to America at the age of 17, making her home in Chicago until January, 1946, when she and her husband bought the Ed Gehrt farm in the Town of Pine Valley. She and a son have been living on the farm while her husband was temporarily employed in Chicago.

On January 30, 1915, she was married to Andrew Pavlic in Chicago. Surviving are her husband and three children: Marie, Mrs. Max Yates, and Andrew, Jr., who reside in Chicago; and Richard, who is at home. There are two grand-children.

Mrs. Pavlic was a member and an active worker at Bethel Temple in Chicago, where her funeral services were conducted. Her parents are deceased. Several brothers and sisters still live in Europe. One sister lives in Chicago.
