Miss Viola Hanchman, daughter of Edwin and Tena Hanchman, Neillsville, became the bride of Roger Stanton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Stanton of Cecil, in a ceremony performed July 6 at the Reformed Lutheran Church in Shawano.

The bride wore a dressmaker suit of aqua crepe, and her flowers were gardenias.

Attendants for the couple were the groom’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schiller of Chicago.

A reception for 35 guests was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lane, 516 W. Division St., Shawano, following the ceremony.

Mrs. Stanton graduated from the Neillsville High School and Whitewater college. Since her graduation she has been employed as a commercial teacher.

Mr. Stanton, who recently received his discharge from the navy, is attending De Paul University in Chicago. After September 1 the couple will make their home in Chicago.

Out-of-town guests attending the wedding were: Mrs. Tena Hanchman, mother of the bride; Mrs. Ruth Schnabel and daughter, Rochelle, and Mrs. Lois Heintz and son, Terry Gene, all of Neillsville; and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schiller and son, Roger, of Chicago.
