The marriage of Dorthe Martens of Loyal and Erland Westberg of Colby took place at 9 a.m. June 17 at St. Mary’s parsonage in Colby, Wis. Father Lange read the marriage services.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Martens of Loyal. The groom is the son of Mrs. Anna Westberg of Colby, Wis.

For her wedding the bride chose a silk lace net over satin and a finger-tip veil edged in chantilly lace and a crown of seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of white roses.

Miss Jean Martens, sister of the bride acted as maid of honor. She wore an aqua blue silk chiffon gown and wore a shoulder bouquet of pink carnations and sweet peas.

Miss Deloris Westberg, sister of the groom, attended the bride. She was dressed in yellow satin with lace inserts at the waist. She wore a bouquet of pink Rueben lilies.

William Martens, brother of the bride, was best man, and Harold Rogstad also attended the groom.

A wedding dinner and supper was served at the home of the bride’s parents in Loyal.

Those who attended the reception were Mr. and Mrs. William Martens, Mrs. Anna Westberg and Mr. and Mrs. Orvail Westberg, all of Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Herb Adler and family, Mrs. George Fricke and children and Miss Doris Anderson, all of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Geldernick and Mrs. Gertrude Geldernick and family, all of Chili; Mr. and Mrs. Alex Schmalz, Menasha, and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Garbusch, Granton.

In the evening a wedding dance was given at the country Ballroom.

Mr. and Mrs. Wesrberg left on a few days’ trip to Chicago and Indiana. They are now at home on the groom’s farm near Colby, Wis.

The bride was formerly employed at the Weinbrenner shoe factory in Marshfield.
