Herdrich, Norma (Marriage - 16 October 1946)

Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal, was the scene October 16 of the marriage of Miss Norma Herdrich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reno Herdrich of Loyal, and Harold Dahl, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Dahl of Granton. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. C. Langholz.

The bride’s gown of white ninon was trimmed with lace inserts around the neckline. The fitted bodice buttoned down the back and the full skirt swept into a court train. An orange blossom crown held her finger-tip veil and she carried a bouquet of pink and white gladioli. Her necklace was a gift from the groom.

Attendants were: Miss Margaret Herdrich, sister of the bride, maid of honor; Robert Luchterhand, Spencer, best man; Mr. and Mrs. Verland Dux, Loyal, cousins of the groom, bridesmaid and groomsman. Veryl Herdrich, sister of the bride, was flower girl and Byrl Dahl, cousin of the groom, was ring bearer. Robert and Harold Herdrich were ushers.

A reception was held in the church parlors and at the home of the bride’s parents. A wedding cake with four tiers, frosted in white, blue and pink, was served. In the evening, a dance was given at the Merry Ol’ Gardens, near Longwood.

The bride is a graduate of the Loyal High School and has recently been employed by the John Wuethrich Creamery Company at Greenwood. The groom attended Granton High School and is now engaged in farming. They will reside on the Dahl farm in the Town of York.

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dux and family, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hagedorn and Lorraine, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Greeler and family, Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Foemmel and family, Chili; Mr. and Mrs. George Dahl, Mrs. Rose Bird, Mrs. Frieda Dahl, Erland and Byrl Dahl, Mrs. Edward Dahl and Alvin, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Williams, Granton, attended the wedding.
