FIND THORP FARMER WOUNDED IN HOTEL

Three Wounds in Chest Are Held Self-inflicted

Chippewa Falls--Stanley Kapczuk, 38, a farmer who resides near Thorp, is at Victory hospital in Stanley suffering from three stab wounds in his chest. While his condition is not considered critical, it was said that he would be kept at the hospital for observation of his mental condition.

Sunday night Kapczuk went to the White Eagle house in Stanley and secured a room. Monday morning he was about town and later after dinner, he went to his room at the hotel.

A maid, thinking the room had been vacated, opened the door and found Kapczuk lying on the floor with blood running from his chest. She immediately called the proprietor, Frank Wrozek, who in turn called Dr. A. W. Overgard and the police.

By Kapczuk's side his bloodstained jackknife was found. He was taken to Victory hospital where his wounds were treated.
