Deceased was born Anna Lida Rector, at Albany, N.Y., March 4, 1825; came to Milwaukee in 1847 with her parents; was married to Mr. McCalvy Jan. 14, 1849, in Farmington, Sheboygan Co., moved to Eaton township this county the fall of 1868, and cleared a homestead on the 26 road; moved to Pine Valley near this city in 1901, and last year to this city. She is survived by the husband and all her children, six in number - Adelia (Mrs. A. J. Bullard), George McCalvy, Sophronia (Mrs. Jos. Bass), Thos, McCalvy, Margaret (Mrs. A. H. In the war days she was left for over two years with her little ones while her husband went to fight for the Union, and bore her share of the brunt of pioneer life. In all respects she was a most excellent woman, and will be greatly missed by all.
