------ Theilig, Darlene (22 MAY 1965)

Miss Darlene Theilig of Wausau, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Theilig of Colby, became the bride of Wilbur Dehn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dehn; all of Bonduel, Saturday, May 22.  The Rev. Harold Woodworth performed the ceremony at 2:30 o’clock in St. Paul’s Lutheran church, route 2, Colby.

Miss Donna Theilig of Colby was her sister’s maid of honor and James Schulz of Wittenberg, a friend, was the best man.  Miss Carol Dehn, a cousin of the groom, and Ivan Klosterman, a friend, both of Bonduel, were the second couple and Miss Louann Rozmenoski and Barry Rozmenoski of Wausau, little friends, served as flower girl and ring bearer.

The bridal gown was fashioned of exquisite rose point lace and nylon sheer over taffeta.  The molded lace bodice carved to a V at the waistline, had a Sabrina neckline and long lace sleeves that tapered to points over the wrists.  The very full skirt of nylon sheer was shirred at the waist line and detailed with two panels of lace down the front and sides.  Scalloped lace edged the Watteau panel of sheer which extended from the neckline to form the chapel length train.  The cascade bouquet which she carried was arrangement of large pink roses, white carnations and stephanotis, with ribbon streamers to which small flowers were tied.

Her attendants wore identically styled floor-length dresses of powder blue nylon sheer over taffeta. The fitted bodices had scoop necklines and short notched sleeves.  Wide Venice lace encircled the shirred waists of the very full skirts and was used to form two panels down the front.  Pouf veils were worn with their matching braid crowns which were edged with large blossoms of sheer and velvet with pearl bud centers.  They carried colonial bouquets of pink and white carnations.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and dinner was served at the church hall.  A wedding dance will be held at Plesheks at Shawano on May 29.

About 150 guests attended the wedding and came from Bonduel, Colby, Curtiss, Abbotsford, Milton, Plymouth, Kiel, Wausau, Spencer, Neenah, Green Bay, Sheboygan, Oneida, Owen and Schofield.

After May 29, Mr. and Mrs. Dehn will be at home at route 2, Bonduel, where the groom is engaged in farming.
