Funeral services for Anna Sivertson Aspen, 74, mother of Ole Aspen of Neillsville, were held from the Cole Funeral Home Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev., N. J. Dechant in charge.

The body was taken to Chicago for burial in the Irving Park Boulevard Cemetery.

Born Anna Sivertson February 10, 1874, in Kristiansand, Norway, Mrs. Aspen received her education in the city of her birth. There she was married to Kristian Aspen on May 5, 1897. Eight years later, in 1905, the family came to the United States and settled in Chicago.

They came to Clark County in 1917, settling on a farm. They remained here until 1923, when they returned to Chicago. Mrs. Aspen lived in Chicago from that time until about three months ago, when she entered River Pine Sanatorium at Stevens Point, where she died at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, October 6.

Mrs. Aspen was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Chicago.

Surviving beside the son, Ole Aspen are three daughters: Mrs. William Lindemann and Mrs. David B. Martin, both of Chicago; and Mrs. Alex Spindler of Santa Monica, Cal. Also surviving are a brother in Norway and six grandchildren.
