Fred Pudlas and family called on Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neitsch Thursday evening.

Mrs. Henry Bublitz motored to Owen and Withee on business last Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Burthart of Colby visited at the Henry Machlett home Sunday afternoon.

Tom Fitzgibbons came up on five Tuesday evening to locate a cheese factory tomorrow. Good luck to you Tom.

Louis Schroeder autoed to Neillsville and Marshfield Wednesday. He went to bring his daughter home, who has been at the hospital having her tonsils removed.

Morris Klemetson was a business caller Saturday.

Rev. Goetsch was in Curtiss Saturday conducting his confirmation class.

Otto Olson was in Curtiss Saturday for some material for to repair his house a little for winter.

Chas. Cummings was in Curtiss shopping Saturday.

John Hogie was a Curtiss business caller Saturday.

Peter Lukken was in Curtiss Saturday for well piping for his pump.

Theodore Thompson passed through Curtiss out to the county farm. The board had a meeting Saturday.

Frank Tonn wass shopping in Curtiss Saturday.

Ted Hill delivered a load of cheese boxes to F. W. Laabs Saturday from Riplinger.

Martin Richlean was a Curtiss caller Saturday.

Out beloved teacher was taken sick and could not attend to her duties for the first part of the week and Friday she gave up the school.

Rev. M. C. Goetsch spent Sunday evening at H. W. Gilletts. The Rev. is fond of music. Mr. and Mrs. John Kennedy rendered some fine selections on the piano and clarinet.

Items From Hoard and Mayville

Mrs. Walter Ravy attended the W.C.T.U. meeting at the home of Mrs. C. H. Ravy in Curtiss, last Wednesday afternoon. She has been chosen as a delegate to represent the Curtiss W.C.T.U. at the Convention held at Portage Oct. 11-16th.

E. J. Echhoff and daughter, Margaret did shopping in Dorchester Saturday.

Miss Rosaline Merwin spent the weekend with her brother and family East of Abbotsford, Wis.

Mr. and Mrs. Hazen of New York are visiting at the home of their niece Mrs. E. A. Hawks and family.

Walter Ravy drove over to Owen last Thursday and did some shopping at the E. J. Crane warehouse.

Mr. and Mrs. A. Henlich and family called at the Chas. Brady home Sunday evening.

T. C. Fitzgibbons, a former cheese maker of the Clover Hill Co-op cheese factory was in the vicinity last week calling on friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Rhinhardt Klocke and family drove to Medford and called at the Dake Studio.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Stephens and family spent the week end at Rice Lake at the home of Mrs. Stephens sister. They made the trip by auto and on the way home stopped at Irvine Park, near Chippewa Falls.

Mr. E. J. Eckhoff and family left Monday of Buda, Ill., to attend the funeral of Mr. Eckhoff’s father, who passed away at his home in Buda, last Saturday with cancer of the stomach.

Newsy Notes From Milan

The birthdays of Chas Schmidt and son, Alfred were celebrated at the Schmidt home Sunday Sept. 30th. About fifteen guests were entertained, including Mr. and Mrs. Zillman and family of Colby, the Alfred Herman family of Colby and the Will Herman family of Curtiss.

The Milan Women’s Club will be entertained by Mrs. A. B. Ellingson on Thursday October 11th.

Mrs. George Blank spent Wednesday at Unity.

Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Ellingson were Athens callers Tuesday evening.

Catherine Calmes spent Sunday at Wuertzberg.

Mrs. Steve Price and children are spending a few days at the Forster home in Colby, Wis.

Mr. and Mrs. George Blank drove to Unity Tuesday evening.

Mrs. George Blank and Mrs. Henry Glock were Athens callers Tuesday.

Frank Haderlein, Sr., of Chicago returned to his home there Monday night after spending several weeks at the home of his brother, John Haderlein.

Miss Emma Gerlach returned to her home here Thursday after spending a month t the home of her sister, Mrs. Fred Bother at Waukesha.

Carl Bunke is visiting with his parent for a week.

Many Milan people attended the Chicken Dinner a the Catholic Church at Wuertzberg Sunday.
