Did C. C. Lester, of Abbotsford commit suicide in Chicago last week? The police do not know what to think about it. The Tribune says:

"There is happiness in death, for I have witnessed." This was the note left by C. C. Lester, Abbotsford, Wis., who disappeared from his room in the New Imperial hotel 316 South State street yesterday. Another letter found by the police later read: "My last wish: Please send the satchel and letters to my wife, Mrs. C. C. (former Agnes Sybeldon) Lester, Abbotsford, Wis. My last cent is gone and I am sick. I am ending it all if I can reach the lake." The police believe it possible Lester might have changed his mind.
