Hunerjager, Edward (24 OCT 1874 - 1 AUG 1946)

Edward Hunerjager, 71, and a resident of this community for the past 38 years, succumbed to a heart ailment which had curtailed his activities for the past several months, at his home at 1:45 a.m. today, Aug. 1, 1946.

A year ago, when his health would not permit heavy work, Mr. Hunerjager sold his home farm in the vicinity of Clark (Clark Co., Wis.), which he had developed, moving on a smaller place in the Town of Maplehurst. He was able to enjoy life a great deal this past year, and it was not until a month ago that he began to fail noticeably. The past ten days he was confined to his bed most of the time.

He was born on Oct. 24, 1874, in Waukesha Co. A year before his marriage in 1909, he moved to this community, pursuing farming, his life time occupation.

He is survived by his wife, Grace, three daughters, Mrs. Leo (Vera) Arp; Mrs. Julian (Ione) Anderson, Wayne, Illinois; Mrs. Edwin (Eva) Barney, Union Grove; a sister, Mrs. Newton Barney, Waukesha, and two brothers, Walter and Herbert, Atkin, Minnesota.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin) at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, Aug. 3. Rev. Dixen will officiate at the service. Burial will be made in the family lot at Spencer.
