Blodgett, May Belle (24 DEC 1946)

Mr. and Mrs. William T. Reasoner are now at home at Flemington, N.J. Their marriage took place on Christmas Eve at the Finnish Lutheran Church, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.).

Miss May Belle Blodgett, daughter of Mrs. Laura Blodgett of Abbotsford, became the bride of William T. Reasoner, son of Mrs. Elizabeth Reasoner of Flemington, N.J., on Dec. 24, in a double ring ceremony, read by the Rev. Karl Keljo at 7:30 in the evening.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her oldest brother, Curtis Blodgett of Thorp, wore a melon colored wool suit with black accessories. She wore a corsage of white roses and sweet peas.

Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. William Maki, brother-in-law and sister of the bride, of Owen. Mrs. Maki wore a dark green ensemble with black accessories. She wore a corsage of pink carnations.

Before the ceremony, while the guests were assembling, Miss Betty June Maki of Stevens Point, played Christmas carols and then the wedding march. During the ceremony, Lt. Norman Erickson of Ft. Knox, Ky., sang "O Promise Me" and "The Lord’s Prayer," accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Arthur Wilson.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Maki home. A four-tier wedding cake centered the table and a Christmas Tree and other Christmas decorations were used in the home.

Among the guests from away were Mrs. Laura Blodgett, Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Curtiss Blodgett, Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. John Midtlien, Stanley, and Mr. and Mrs. Cornell Erickson, Curtiss.

Mr. and Mrs. Reasoner left the day after Christmas for Flemington where the groom is employed as a painter.
