Roeber, *Laura Louise #2 (31 October **1871 - 9 December 1949)

Mrs. Matt Roeber, 78, was interred Monday in the Greenwood Cemetery. She had died at her home Friday of a heart attack. Officiating was the Rev. B. M. Fresenborg.

Mrs. Roeber nee Louise Soefker was born in Germany October 31, 1891. She came to the United States with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. August Soefker and they settled on a farm on the west side near Greenwood. She was married twice; her first husband was William Thielan. After her marriage to Matt Roeber, they lived in West Beaver near Unity until June of this year when they retired and moved to Greenwood.

She is survived besides her husband by one daughter, Mrs. Lena Throm of Genoa City, and one son, George Thielan of Flint, Mich.; ten grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Hertzog of Plymouth and Mrs. Adolph Meyer and Mrs. Henry Olson of Greenwood.

She was preceded in death by one son, William Thielan and one daughter, Ella Thielan and also four brothers.
