Jake, Margaret (15 SEP 1947)

Monday morning at nine o’clock at St. Therese’s Church in Appleton was the scene of a beautiful wedding when Roger Riley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Riley, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), exchanged nuptial vows with Miss Margaret Jake, Plymouth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Jake, Neillsville.

The Rev. M. A. Hauch performed the double ring ceremony. The children’s choir sang during the mass.

Attending the couple were two close friends, Miss Frances Harbrecht, Plymouth, as maid of honor, and Robert Bruehl, Appleton, as best man.

The bride wore a dress of white satin which was cut princess style and fashioned with a long train. Her fingertip veil of illusion, edged with lace, was caught to a white Juliet cap. She carried a colonial bouquet of red roses and white gladioli.

Miss Frances Harbrecht was dressed in a pink gown of net over taffeta and carried a shower bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

A dinner was served at the Candle Glow Tea Room at twelve o’clock for their immediate relatives and friends.

After a week’s honeymoon in northern Wisconsin the couple will be at home to their friends at 1533 W. Spring St. in Appleton.

Guests attended the wedding were: Mrs. Patrick Riley and son of Owen, Mrs. Floyd Clifton, Madison, Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Pearce, Plymouth, Ken Murray, Appleton, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Spence, Appleton, Mrs. Morris Rowlands, Cambria and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zank, Appleton.
